During the 1970s and ’80s, the creatures shaped like beer bottles with humanoid legs ran in herds across TV screens in the region, Spokane included. Other wacky vintage clips with a Northwest flair staged actor Mickey Rooney as a Canadian Mountie or mighty hunter of “Mountain Fresh” rainiers.
