Liberty Lake Regional Park

Spokane County Parks and Recreation has compiled a master plan for the Liberty Lake Regional Park, which includes several upgrades to the trail system, wetland area, RV Park and beach area. The master plan is set to be approved on June 13 by the parks board. We are looking for a photo of the park entrance, or beach area, which will be the first to receive upgrades in the $12 million phased plan.

The small beach at Liberty Lake Regional Park, tucked away on the southeast side of the lake, is a getaway for many families in search of scenic lakefront where kids can play and sit in the sun. The regional park also has extensive trail system and a large wetlands for birdwatching.

A juvenile trout finds itself in the shallows of Liberty Lake Wednesday, May 16, 2018 after being released by a fifth-grade class from Liberty Lake Elementary during a field trip to Liberty Lake Regional Park. The class received trout eggs in January and raised them in a 55-gallon aquarium at the school.
