Old Cheney High School is being renovated into student housing in a historic preservation project. The gym and auditorium are being preserved for group use.

George Paupst, Yost Gallagher Construction project supervisor, points out the space where three new apartments will be built in the in the old Cheney High School. The space was a 1951 addition to the original building and still has basketball markings on the floor. The old building is being converted to student housing.
