New life for Crescent Christmas decorations
Refurbished decorations from the former Crescent department store Christmas window are being displayed at the Davenport Hotel and River Park Square.

In this 1958 photo, one of the large Spokane Christmas displays is the huge Christmas tree made up entirely of lights at the Crescent, W710 Riverside. The tree, some 75 feet in height, was designed by the Crescent's display director, Howard Schneider. The Christmas tree light display uses 4,500 lights. The tree is on the building's marquee.
