Wildflowers along Gold Hill Trail

Day-hikers heading up the Gold Hill Trail to the fabulous views of Sandpoint, the Long Bridge and Lake Pend Oreille pass countless wildflowers on the way. Here's a sampling of what caught the eye of Outdoors Editor Rich Landers as he hiked the 7.4-mile round trip, which is primed with eye-candy colors in late May.
