Supplies you'll need: scissors, contact paper, a pen, a craft knife, etching cream, a sponge brush, and a vase.

-
Cut the contact paper to the size of your vase and mark the basic design on the back of the paper.

Cut your chosen design with a craft knife. You don't have to be too careful. I like the fun simplicity of this design.

Peel the backing off of the contact paper and place it on the vase, being careful to smooth out any bubbles. Make sure the edges are adhered well.

Brush on the etching cream according to the directions.

Rinse the etching cream and check out your design. I have a few rough spots on mine. I should have wiped my vase down with rubbing alcohol before etching...whoops! I think this design still works, but I might adapt it later.

The finished vase holds a bunch of paper flowers I'm making for wedding bouquets. Check the post for links to additional paper flower tutorials.
