A customer waits for his order in the cafe portion of Atticus Coffee & Gifts, which offers 4 Seasons, Anvil and Bumper Crop coffee, its own sandwiches, and baked goods from Bouzies, Rocket and Sweetwater bakeries and Sante Restaurant & Charcuterie.
Among the merchandise for sale at Atticus Coffee & Gifts are reusable travel coffee mugs.
Co-owner Kris Dinnison says when she and her husband are choosing merchandise for Atticus, "we respond to things that look aged and weathered and look like they have history."
Some of the products have a quirky sensibility about them, but they're more sophisticated than the off-beat offerings at Boo Radley's, the Dinnisons' other gift shop.

Atticus Coffee & Gifts offers home decor and gift merchandise in the front of the shop, bulk coffee sales in the middle and a cafe in the back.
Atticus Coffee & Gifts took over the retail space that 4 Seasons Coffee Co. had occupied for 27 years. 4 Seasons still roasts and sells coffee on a wholesale level and is served at Atticus.
The Atticus logo was designed for free by artists Kate and Richard Vander Wende, who are friends of the Dinnisons.
The Vander Wendes are responsible for much of the shop's look, and are currently painting a mural that will include a quote from "To Kill a Mockingbird."
