Work experience: Works as a community outreach coordinator with the Washington State Board of Health. Co-founded the Baby Jogger stroller company, which she and her ex-husband sold in 2003. Later worked as a community organizer in the Yakima area and planner for the Yakama Nation until the COVID-19 pandemic, when she worked in public health in the Seattle area.
Political experience: Ran unsuccessfully for Congress in Washington’s 4th Congressional District in 2012, receiving 33.8% of votes.
Family: Single. Has three adult children and five grandchildren.
