​​Education: Graduated from Foster High School in 1990. Has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Indiana University. Has a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Washington.

Work experience: Has Owned a Zeeks Pizza franchise in Sammamish since 2018. Owns four Ben & Jerry’s franchises. Previously worked as a currency trader for UBS Financial Services in London and ran Bank of America’s currency derivative trading in New York City.

Political experience: Elected to Issaquah City Council in 2009. Elected to the Washington State Senate in 2012 and has been re-elected twice.

Family: Married to Kelley Mullet. Has six children.
