Education: Graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1960. Received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Gonzaga University in 1965. Got a master’s degree in civil engineering from Penn State University.
Political experience: Elected to the board of directors of a water and sewer district in Lewis and Clark County, Montana.
Work experience: Spent two years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Alaska. Worked for much of his civil engineering career on dam construction. Has worked on freeways. Worked on dam rehabilitation and abandoned mine reclamation for the state of Montana. Owned an antique store with his wife. Spent more than 25 years as a professional land surveyor.
Family: Married to Kay Marshall. Has five kids and 15 grandchildren.
Fundraising: Marshall has chosen the Public Disclosure Commission’s mini reporting option. So long as he raises and spends less than $7,000, he doesn’t have to disclose donors or donation amounts.
