Education: Graduated from Jenkins High School in Chewelah in 1978. Earned an associate’s degree in business administration from Spokane Falls Community College and graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1984.

Work experience: Worked for 13 years as national sales manager for Gregg Industries before becoming manager of Tom Addis Dodge and Lake City Ford/Lincoln in 1998. The companies were sold two years ago, and Addis now sells cars through his own business, Lake City Wholesale.

Political experience: None.

Family: Married. Has one daughter.
