Attorney General's Office letter to Tucker

County Prosecutor Steve Tucker said April 3 he is closing the case on the death of Jo Ellen Savage after his office and the state Attorney General’s office concluded in separate reviews that there’s not enough evidence to prove “beyond a reasonable doubt” that the death was caused by criminal recklessness or criminal negligence. A letter from Assistant Attorney General Scott Marlow says state attorneys believe it would be difficult to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the owners or operators of the garage acted with criminal recklessness or criminal negligence in the case.
