Chef Lesa leads the class in making three dishes, beginning with a Shirazi salad made with cucumber, tomato and herbs with a bright dressing. Next, Persian saffron rice to pair with beef kofta, a rolled herbed ground beef. For dessert is the Love cake, this cake is flavored with cardamom and rose water, topped with pistachio.
