The Vox Box

(Pretty stinkin’ festive) Food News!…

Not only is this holiday season brought in with carols, candy canes, and stories about drummer boys..-..it's welcomed with milkshakes. (and I can't think of any better way...)

Popular fast food chain Jack in the Box has it's customers celebrating with the return of the Egg Nog and Pumpkin Shakes. (click for Nutritional Values...if you really want to know...)

"Our Egg Nog and Pumpkin Pie shakes have become real signs of the season for many of our guests," Teka O'Rourke, director of menu marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box Inc. explains. "They're a delicious way to get into the holiday spirit."

These festive flavors have made their way back onto the menu every year since 2000 and 2004, respectively.

What foods get you into the holiday season? Anyone craving a milkshake as bad as I am now?

In 2006, then-editor Steve Smith of The Spokesman-Review had the idea of starting a publication for an often forgotten audience: teenagers. The Vox Box was a continuation of the Vox, an all-student staffed newspaper published by The Spokesman-Review. High school student journalists who staffed the Vox made all content decisions as they learn about the trade of journalism. This blog's mission was to give students an opportunity to publish their voices. The Vox Box and the Vox wrapped up in June 2009, but you can follow former staffers' new blog at http://voxxiez.blogspot.com.
