Introductions: The Vox, Take Two
So the first year of the Vox has come and gone. It's time for year two. After going through nearly 200 applications, we've expanded the staff to around 90 kids, all extraordinarily talented. Since this is the first post in the Vox Box, I should state what exactly the Vox is... it is the next generation of newspaper, made by the teens, for the teens. Published by the Spokesman-Review, our paper is sent to high schools (among other places) all around Spokane County and Northern Idaho. We're definitely NOT your parents' newspaper.
Well, with that out of the way... I need to state that this newspaper is FOR the readers. So give us some feedback! The three bloggers, Leslie, Kyle, and myself will be checking in often, and with every issue will post some hot topic discussions for you guys to take part in. We may sometimes reflect or imitate some of the articles appearing in the publication.
Let us know what you think!
Aside from this fan-tiddly-tastic blog, we've also got a Myspace! If you've got a Myspace, and want to stay connected to everything important, or you just need to build up your friends list, go ahead and add us! Click here!
Before I make my closing statement, I should note that the first issue hits schools, businesses and the Spokesman-Review lobby on September 5th!
