Getting There

43 for $73 million in 2015

In today's paper, I wrote about this year's public works construction season in Spokane, which began yesterday with wastewater project on Northwest Boulevard.

Due to the constraints of print, and the fact that most people don't want to read 10,000 words about road work, I didn't include every detail of every project. Nor do hyperlinks work in print (for some reason).

Here on the blog, I am free to write in as much boring detail as I please, with links for everyone.

First, here's a link to the city's page listing nearly every project it has planned for this year. This page has a wealth of detail for each project, including the cost, when construction will begin and end, who is bird dogging the project at the city, and more.

For instance, the Erie Street extension to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard will cost $410,000 and will be done this summer. Good to know.

Work on the Monroe-Lincoln couplet from 8th to Main will cost $3.8 million and will be completed in the fall. Here's a blogpost from the city about that project, complete with cross-sections of the street, renderings of how it will be landscaped, and diagram after diagram after diagram of how the road will be realigned. So fun.

Explore the myriad pages before you, and shoot me any questions you may have.
