You think commuting in Spokane is tough? OK, nobody really thinks that. Still, we are nothing compared to New York City.

Thankfully, the New York Times put together a handy "Animated History of New York's Love-Hate Relationship with Commuting," to show us how good we have it.

Personally, I like the horses being swept away and the glowing quote about how clean subways were predicted to be: "The filthy,health destroying, patience killing, street dust ... will never be found in the tunnel." No, of course not. Never.
