Epicurean delights

The 2016 Epicurean Delight award winners include a tie for best appetizers and one restaurant that won two awards.

The sold-out Nov. 11 event raised funds for the Inland Northwest Blood Center and Blood Center Foundation.

Outstanding hors d’oeuvres went to The Blackbird for its Smoked BBQ Duck Sliders and Republic Pi for its Duck Banh Mi. The 1898 Public House won Outstanding Entrée as well as People’s Choice Best Restaurant for its Lobster Mac and Cheese.

Other awards were: Zona Blanca for its first course of Atún y Agua Chile Quemado con Maiz, Downriver Grill for its Butterscotch Pudding dessert and Walla Walla Vintners for its 2014 Columbia Valley Sangiovese and 2014 Walla Walla Valley Merlot.
