Too Many Cooks

Get (wal)nutty at Quillisascut Farm

Spend a day on the farm to learn about cooking with walnuts and pressing walnut oil in small batches.

Quillisascut Farm is hosting a walnut workshop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The afternoon includes making walnut oil, walnut flour, walnut sauces and candied walnuts.

The event starts with tea and cheese sampling as well as cracking walnuts. At noon, there’s a farm tour that includes harvesting walnuts and meeting the goats and chickens. Tasting starts at 3 p.m., after two hours of working with walnuts.

The cost is $25 per person. For more information or to sign up, visit http://quillisascut.com/walnuts/
