Morning links: WSU begins its bye week

Washington State held a 30-minute practice on Sunday night with most of the offense in attendance.

The starters were there and so were the backups, with a few scout team players sprinkled in. The Cougars will take the next couple days off – no Monday press conference today – and then return to Rogers Field on Wednesday.

For now, we have a story in the paper today about the Cougars. … Stefanie Loh wrote about WSU's quest to put a complete game together. … PJ Kendall thinks the Cougars have plenty to improve upon in the next couple weeks. … Oregon's defense has been subpar through three weeks. … Steve Sarkisian says USC needs to play with an edge. … WSU's next opponent, California, is preparing for its upcoming game against the Huskies. … There were plenty of high school stars in Pac-12 stadiums last weekend.
