Indians pitching coach veteran before 30
Tuesday was a fine day for ducks but not for baseball players. Steady, heavy rain postponed the Spokane Indians' game at Avista Stadium against the Eugene Emeralds. The contest was supposed to cap a five-game, Northwest League season-opening series. Instead, Spokane (4-0) and Eugene (0-4) will make up the game as part of a doubleheader at Eugene on June 30. The change was necessary because Eugene doesn't play in Spokane again this regular season. The rainy weather allowed for time to talk to first-year Indians pitching coach Jose Jaimes, who is in his sixth year overall as a coach in the Texas Rangers' organization despite being a few days short of his 30th birthday.
