Zags try to even score with Portland
Gonzaga's lone loss of the WCC season came last month against Portland, 82-73, at the Chiles Center. It wasn't a fluke as the Pilots dominated at both ends of the court, drained eight 3-pointers and snapped a 20-game losing streak in the series.
The rematch is Wednesday night with the first-place Zags trying to maintain a three-game lead in the loss column over their three closest pursuers. Here's my game preview.
--I also checked in with Portland senior forward Ryan Nicholas, the Gonzaga Prep product who has been a model of consistency for the Pilots. More on Nicholas here.
