Post Falls' Dani Failor (pictured in the middle above) has been named Gatorade player of year in Idaho.

See story below.

Post Falls basketball standout Dani Failor has been named the 2012-13 Gatorade Idaho Girls Basketball Player of the Year.

The 6-foot senior post led Post Falls to a 24-1 record and the State 5A championship. She averaged 12.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting 52 percent from the floor. A two-time first team All-Idaho selection, she recorded double-doubles in the final two state games including an 11-point, 11-rebound effort over Coeur d’Alene in the championship game.

Failor has a 3.86 grade-point average and has an appointment to attend and play at West Point.

“Dani Failor is not only dedicated to the sports she plays, she is also an excellent student who does as much as she can to help the community,” Lake City coach Bryan Kelly said. “Her dedication to sports and bettering society is something that doesn’t come around very often.”
