Chiefs extend lead over Portland
Eric Williams stopped all 13 shots he faced in the second period Wednesday night and Adam Helewka scored to give the Spokane Chiefs a 3-1 lead over the Portland Wiinterhawks in Western Hockey League play at the Arena. Helewka scored a little more than 5 minutes after he had a goal waved off for high sticking. Portland has won 33 of its last 38 games but has dropped three straight for the first time this season.
