Another WSU Monday

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN -- The Washington State football team canceled its Sunday night practice, and will take another day off before getting back at it on Tuesday. But coach Mike Leach and three players will meet with the media later this afternoon, as usual. Read on.

...

We had our usual follow from Saturday's game in this morning's newspaper -- and in reading the comments on that one, seems like the story's main theme got skewed a little -- and that's just about all we can find on the WSU front. ... From Utah: The Utes still have an outside shot at a bowl game. Utah wants to build momentum against WSU.

Around the Pac-12 ... Washington needs to prove itself now on the road. ... Oregon State says it'll be fine after losing for the first time this season. ... Oregon's quarterback wants to prove himself in pressure situations. ... Arizona beat a good USC team, but it wants more. ... Arizona State is trying to get healthy in a hurry. ... Stanford's use of its backup quarterback against WSU was planned. ... Colorado's misery tour continues with a game against Stanford this week. ... UCLA all of a sudden looks like a contender in the Pac-12 South. ... Lane Kiffin stood by his late-game decisions in USC's loss to Arizona.

We'll be back later today after WSU's media availability.
