EWU football - a busy week awaits

Seats are still available for the Eastern Washington Eagle Football Awards Banquet Sunday at EWU's Pence Union Building. The fun starts at 5 p.m. Here are the details

Payton Award winner Bo Levi Mitchell will be there of course. In fact,

he'll be honored at the Eagles' basketball game Saturday night and will also sign autographs.

Last week at the AstroTurf NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Collegiate Bowl in Carson, Calif., Mitchell was 8-of-15 for 110 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, and had another TD pass called back because of a holding penalty. His American team lost to the National 20-14.

RECRUITING - Letter-of-intent day is just a week away, on February 1, and the Eagles are celebrating. EWU fans and friends are invited to a luncheon at Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Airway Heights. The football staff will be on hand, and head coach Beau Baldwin will provide video and commentary on the players the Eagles sign that morning.

The luncheon begins at noon and costs $15 per person. Space is limited and pre-payment is required by Friday. Reservations may be made here: http://alumni.ewu.edu/events/event_details.asp?id=207070
