Hansen gets starting nod

Casey Hansen will start at quarterback when Spokane takes on Tampa Bay on Friday, head coach Rob Keefe said.

Hansen was one of three quarterbacks brought in this week as the Shock were forced to replace Bill Stull (knee) and Kyle Rowley (shoulder), both of whom were injured in Saturday's win over Dallas.

The 6-foot-5 Hansen, who backed up Nick Davila with the Shock in 2009, was the only one of the three with arena experience. Ex-Texas Tech quarterback Steven Sheffield will be backup. Former Shadle Park High standout Josh Powell also tried out.
