Vandal sign 22 commits
The University of Idaho announced a class of 22 players who have signed letters of intent (now including the three who signed in January, Dominique Blackman, A.J. Annelus and Ryan Edwards, all of whom have been officially announced). This also includes Dion Bass, a 5-foot-9 corner from California and brother of transfer running back Ryan Bass. Dion had reportedly been considering Nebraska but stuck with his choice to come to Moscow.
Read on for a full list and breakdown of the class.

The official list has been announced by UI. You can see the whole thing below. But first a breakdown:
- At least half of this class hails from California (11 or 12 depending on Dontae Scott, who is listed from Hawaii but mentioned with other California recruits). That's a pretty remarkable Golden State push by UI coaches. Four are from Washington, and three are from Texas. As you may have noticed, none come from Idaho.
- The class includes five defensive linemen (three defensive tackles, two defensive ends) and three offensive linemen. Obviously replenishing talent in the trenches was a key emphasis.
- Three of these players, as mentioned above, are already enrolled. Blackman told me yesterday he has to sit out 2011 and will be eligible 2012 and 2013. He will participate in spring practice.
- Defensive backs also figure prominently. Robb Akey signed four DBs, and all are listed as cornerbacks except for safety Bradley Njoku.
