Eastern up 49-31 at intermission
Eastern Washington used 8-for-12 shooting from beyond the 3-point line and some aggresive work on the boards to roll up a 49-31 halftime lead over visiting Northwest University at Reese Court.
The Eagles' Cliff Colimon leads all scorers with 14 points, while teammates Laron Griffin and Jeffrey Forbes have each added 10.
Northwest, an NAIA school based in Kirkland, shot just 35.7 percent (10-28) in the opening period and made only one of six 3-point tries.
Hardest working player on the court in Griffin, who eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block to go along with his 10 points.
