Defensive lineman Jeremy Geathers has become the third Shock player to sign with an outdoor league since Spokane thumped Tampa Bay in ArenaBowl XXIII on Aug. 20.

Geathers signed with the B.C. Lions of the CFL. Geathers (No. 4 pictured above) moved into the starting lineup when Ben McCombs went down with a season-ending knee injury. In nine regular season games, Geathers had four sacks. He added two sacks in the postseason and was named the defensive player of the game in the ArenaBowl.

Receivers Markee White (Hartford) and Huey Whittaker (Florida) previously signed with UFL teams.

Elsewhere, as expected the Philadelphia Soul hired former Chicago coach MIke Hohensee as head coach. More on Hohensee here.
