Shock will face Tampa Bay

Spokane will face Tampa Bay in ArenaBowl XXIII at 5 p.m. Friday at the Arena.

Tampa Bay, the third seed out of the American Conference, edged visiting Orlando 63-62 on Saturday night. The Storm (13-5) built a 35-21 halftime lead, then withstood a Predators' comeback. Orlando had a chance to win it in the closing seconds, but Carlos Martinez didn't connect on a long field-goal attempt. Tampa Bay's Brett Deitz had seven touchdown passes, three to Tyrone Timmons.

Spokane (15-3) defeated Milwaukee 60-57 on Thursday to win the National Conference championship.

Spokane and Tampa Bay didn't play during the regular season.
