Vandal practice update

Thought I would pass along a quick update after getting back from Idaho practice. Perhaps the biggest story was that middle linebacker Paul Senescall was on the sideline and not practicing. Coach Robb Akey said he expects Senescall to play Saturday and that coaches were resting him. No other details were given. Akey also said tight end Daniel Hardy, who played about 20 snaps last week after missing the Colorado State game, has recovered nicely from his kidney injury.

QB Nathan Enderle, after getting pulled late in the San Jose State game, sounded upbeat when talking to reporters. He told the Lewiston Tribune's Jesse Baumgartner that he was angry with himself after throwing his final interception and that he considers it an ongoing battle between him and Brian Reader for who gets snaps at QB.

One last thing. Check ESPN.com's Pat Forde weekly column. He has a nice section on the Vandals' turnaround. I'll be back tomorrow with an extended feature on left guard Mike Iupati.
