Big weekend awaits WSU baseball

COUGARS • UPDATED: 5:50 P.M.

Not a lot of WSU football and basketball news, but there are a few things to pass on to you on this fine Tuesday morning. All you have to do is read on.
••••••••••

• The Cougars may have lost for the second time this season to Gonzaga – to finish 1-2 in the season series – but they did get a few swings in before this weekend's home showdown with UW. And Jared Prince continued to swing a hot bat, with another three hits. Our John Blanchette took a look this morning in the S-R at the two local programs hoping to finish their seasons in the NCAA tournament with this column. ... That's about it in Cougar-centric news today, but we do have this post from the Oregonian to pass on. It's from Aaron Pflugrad and it's about his decision to transfer from Oregon. No, it doesn't say where he's headed.

UPDATE: The Seattle Times' Bud Withers has this baseball story this afternoon. And, in the where are they now category, the Bellingham Herald has this piece on a new venture by former Coug Anthony McClanahan.

•••

• That's it for this morning. As we've said often the past month, we'll be back if news warrants. Until then …
