Vandals tabbed 8th, 9th in polls

The WAC preseason football media and coaches' polls have been unveiled, and both have Idaho and New Mexico State as the two bottom-rung teams. The Vandals were picked eighth in the media poll (ahead of only NMSU) and ninth in the coaches' poll.

Boise State was picked to win the league in both polls, while quarterback Colin Kaepernick of Nevada was named preseason offensive player of the year (ahead of Kellen Moore) and BSU's Kyle Wilson was voted as the top preseason defensive player.

We'll have more on the Vandals in the coming days; fall practice begins on Aug. 8.
