UA blitzes WSU in second half, 66-56
COUGARS
When Tony Bennett put together his non-conference schedule with games on the road at LSU and against Pitt, it was for Pac-10 games like this. He wanted tough games against tough teams but most importantly, tough venues for his freshmen to get acclimated to. It didn't help. When McKale Arena started rocking early in the second half Saturday, the freshmen struggled. Klay Thompson had two consecutive turnovers and then yielded of a baseline drive. Marcus Capers took a poor shot. DeAngelo Casto was schooled by Chase Budinger. Through a 16-0 game-deciding Arizona run, Aron Baynes only touched the ball once. Unable to attack the Arizona trap, the Cougars morphed into a turnover machine, with five, including stepping on the sideline twice. All-in-all, the Cougars went more than 10 and a half minutes with just a Taylor Rochestie runner in a 24-2 UA blitz that built a 56-41 lead. Go ahead and comment. We'll be back in about two hours with the game story. Till then.
