COUGARS

This is the night Klay Thompson announced his presence. The freshman from Southern California set a school record for freshmen with eight 3-pointers while scoring a career-high 28 points. It was also the night DeAngelo Casto showed he can do just about anything needed on the defensive end of the court. The freshman from Spokane came in with 15 minutes, 46 seconds left to play and guarded James Harden until the end of the game. Harden got his points, but he had to work for every one. The Cougars scored 38 points in the second half, with Thompson supplying the offense early and WSU hitting its free throws late. Well be back in about 90 minutes with the story. Till then ...
