• Washington State: The first thing to remember, and we've been preaching this from the beginning of the season, is the Washington State Cougars men's basketball team is young. Very young. And young basketball teams have a tendency to be up-and-down, and young basketball teams have a tendency to struggle on the road, especially early in the season. Young teams have to find out how to play together, and the road environment is where they find out how to do that. As the season progresses, this group will get better at it. • Around the Pac-10: Well, I missed both games yesterday, picking them and on TV. The Huskies must have played well, huh? Actually, I watched a little of that one, though the parts I saw were times UW wasn't actually scoring. In a 42-10 game, what are the odds of that? ...
