Apple Cup deal dead

The proposal to move the Apple Cup to Qwest Field is dead. Washington State and the University of Washington couldn't reach an agreement on the seating arrangements, effectively killing the possible $10 million deal. Read on.

• Sources have told The Spokesman-Review the draft agreement called for each school to get 31,000 seats in Qwest each year. But in the past week the University of Washington, facing season ticket holders who would not be able to fit in Qwest each season, asked for more seats, somewhere in the neighborhood of 7,000 more.
