Morning links out of WSU

COUGARS

The last week of spring football practice starts this afternoon, and we'll be there. Until then, however, we can give you a few links to peruse. Read on.
••••••••••

• We'll start in WSU's basketball office, where there will be a new occupant soon, former UW guard Curtis Allen. ... That brings up a question: How hard is it for Cougars to deal with the reality two coaches with Husky ties will be leading the WSU program? Not being a Coug myself, your thoughts would help me understand the dynamic of the rivalry a little better. Now back to our regularly scheduled links. ... As for the Allen hire, we had our post last night, along with the news in this morning's S-R. There is also this story in the News Tribune (we've talked a lot about the chance Fabian Boeke will not play again, but it seems to be getting closer; the last time I talked with him, however, he still was holding out hope he could play again next season), these two paragraphs in the Times and this post on the P-I site. ... A couple more things. The Times ran an editorial on the possible Apple Cup move and freelancer Howie Stalwick had this James Montgomery feature in the Columbian and other papers.

• That's it for this morning. We'll be back in the evening after today's football practice. Until then …
