Spokane Valley set to begin search for city manager
Spokane Valley City Council may hire a consultant to search for a new city manager, an effort that's expected to cost about $35,000. There will be a discussion about the process, requirements and cost of selecting a new city manager at tonight's city council meeting which begins at 6 p.m.
The council meets in executive session at 5 p.m. to discus the six nominees for two open city council positions. Final nominations, appointment and swearing in will take place during the open meeting which begins at 6 p.m.

There remains one more open seat on the city council. Applications for that position are due on July 1.
