Spokane Valley

City hall public input tonight

There's only one thing on the agenda tonight: a presentation of the plans and concepts for the new city hall, followed by a public input session. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Spokane Valley City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave.

The budget for the new city hall is $14.4 million, including land acquisition, design, construction, furniture and fixtures. The project is paid for by $6.3 million in cash to cover land acquisition, design services and construction.  A 30-year, $8.2 million bond issue will pay for the rest. The new building will be located on the corner of East Sprague Avenue and Dartmouth Road, in what used to be the U-City Mall parking lot.
