Firefighters deliver impatient baby

A baby girl was apparently in a hurry to be born on Saturday. Firefighters at Spokane Valley Fire Department Station 3 were called to a Liberty Lake home after someone called 911 to report a woman in labor. The call came in at 7:48 a.m. Saturday; the firefighters and an AMR ambulance crew delivered a healthy baby girl at 8:04 a.m. Mom and baby were both taken to the hospital to be checked. We just love happy endings.

The Station 3 crew that day was Capt. Gary Collins, Paramedic Nick Muzik and EMT Paul Turcotte.
