Liberty Lake turns 10

The City of Liberty Lake is having a small birthday celebration Saturday before the annual Lud Kramer Memorial Concert in Pavillion Park featuring the Spokane Symphony. It's the city's tenth anniversary and Pavillion Park at Country Vista Drive and Molter Road is probably the best used park in the city.

Birthday cake will be served at 5 p.m., followed by a short program at 5:30 p.m. The free Symphony concert will kick off at 6 p.m. and will feature a mix of patriotic music, classics and popular favorites like Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and the "1812 Overture." Eckart Preu is director.

So grab a blanket or a low chair and head to Pavillion Park early on Saturday to get a prime spot on the lawn. Suttle buses will begin running from the Liberty Lake Elementary parking lot at 4:45 p.m. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
