Spokane Valley

Thursday sneak peek

We're going to be bringing you a couple of interesting stories in tomorrow's Valley Voice. Reporter Lisa Leinberger has some background information on Stephen Liberty, one of the region's early settlers. A monument was recently dedicated in his honor at the new Liberty Lake arboretum. Lisa also will have a story on a few broken hearts at Central Valley High School. No, not that kind. It's the kind of hearts that get dissected on a lab table in science class.

A couple of lengthy discussions dominated last night's Spokane Valley City council meeting, which lasted until 10 p.m. even though several items on the agenda were postponed. Thursday's Valley Voice will have a report on the vote to change the speed limit on Indiana east of Sullivan. I'll have a report on the other discussions and votes in Saturday's Valley Voice.
