Perhaps the biggest news of the week is that last night the Spokane Valley City Council killed a zone change request that was filed by St. John Vianney Church to allow them to build low income senior housing. Last week the city had a small celebration to celebrate a new state law that requires cattle trucks weighing more than 40,000 to go through the Port of Entry instead of through residential neighborhoods.
