Special filing period for offices without candidates

The Spokane County Elections Office starts a special three-day filing period today for local offices that didn't generate much interest during filing week.

No one signed up for them.

It happens most years with elections in small cities and towns and other taxing districts that control local water, sewer, school or cemetery matters. People who live there and want to run for one of the following offices have until 4 p.m. Friday to get their paperwork in to the county elections office. Or you could file online by clicking here. Some have a filing fee, which will  have to be paid.
