Stretching to catch the coat tails

Spokane County Democrats seem to be hoping that Barack Obama has long coattails.

Their latest e-mail to like-minded folks tries to link a Democrat in the White House to Democrats in the courthouse, suggesting that Obama will need folks like Brian Sayrs and Kim Thorburn running Spokane when he's in charge in D.C.

At least, that's the most logical interpretation of the message on their e-mail:

Don't Let the COURT HOUSE go the way of the Bush WHITE HOUSE!
Obama will need all the help he can right here at home!

Exactly what help Obama might need from the Spokane County Board of Commissioners isn't clear.
