Next week: indoor farmers market
It's a bitter sweet day at the Perry Street Farmers Market: the market has been hugely successful this summer and a bustling place every Thursday afternoon in front of The Shop. Today, in the mist, it's the last outdoor market day - but don't dispair - come Thursday next week the market will be indoors at Emmanuel Life Center just a few short blocks down the street.
Hours will be 3-6 p.m. and some of the vendors are already signed up to move indoors, but more are still needed. Food vendors are especially wanted. To apply, call (509) 879-1826.
"We are excited about the move and we are determined to make it successful," said Brian Estes, who's in charge of the market. "The more food vendors we have the better. We want to continue to be a good food source for the neighborhood."
