The Slice

Who is better at realizing when a woman is being hit on?

Who is better at determining whether a woman is being hit on by a stranger -- the woman herself or the gentleman who is her escort?

One might assume the woman would be the expert in such matters. But it could be argued that some attractive ladies become so adept at deflecting uninvited advances that it becomes second-nature.Some overheated male attention doesn't even register.

So when her male companion says, "He was hitting on you," the lady in question might wave that away with a gesture that says "Oh, nonsense."

She probably knows better. But not wanting to make her companion crazy with jealousy, she plays down the intent of such encounters.

But perhaps guys are not fooled by this. They know what other hetero men are thinking. And it's not suitable for family viewing.
