Naming conventions

Virtually every relative of my sister-in-law's husband calls him "Junior."

Except for little kids. They call him "Uncle Junior."

Which, to some ears, sounds funny.

But I guess it all depends on what you're used to. When my wife and her sister were children, there was a man in their extended family universally known as "Son."

So what did my wife and her sister call him? You guessed it. "Uncle Son."
